Marble Polishing and Restoration
Marble has played a significant role in art and architecture throughout history. It has been used in iconic structures such as the Parthenon in Athens, the Taj Mahal in India, and the Lincoln Memorial in the US.
Some popular types include Carrara, Calacatta, Statuario, and Emperador marble. Marble can be polished to a high gloss, honed to a matte finish, or honed to a satin finish.
While marble is relatively durable, it is softer and more porous than granite. It can be prone to scratching, staining, and etching from acidic substances.
Why Marble Loses Its Shine (And Why It's Not Your Fault)
Most homeowners are surprised to learn that marble is a relatively soft stone — a 3 to 4 on the Mohs hardness scale, compared to granite's 6 to 7. This means everyday life leaves a mark. Acidic substances like lemon juice, wine, or even certain household cleaners can etch the surface, creating dull patches that look like water stains but can't be wiped away. Grit tracked in from outside acts like sandpaper underfoot. And improper sealing — or no sealing at all — allows moisture and spills to penetrate deep into the stone.
The result: a floor or countertop that looks cloudy, scratched, or lifeless, no matter how much you clean it.
Here's the good news — in the vast majority of cases, marble can be fully restored. What looks ruined often isn't. With the right equipment, the right technique, and real expertise, we can bring marble back to a condition that rivals the day it was installed.
What Sets Us Apart
The marble restoration industry has no shortage of companies willing to spray-and-buff a floor and call it done. We're not that company.
We use professional diamond tooling, high-torque equipment, and industry-leading products — the same tools used in commercial and hospitality settings where marble is expected to perform and look flawless under heavy use. We have hands-on experience with a wide range of natural stones, finish types, and restoration challenges. We don't subcontract, we don't cut corners, and we don't move on to the next job until you're satisfied with this one.
We also believe in being straight with our clients. If a crack can't be made completely invisible, we'll tell you. If a stain has penetrated too deeply for full removal, you'll know that before we start — not after. Trust is built on honesty, and we'd rather lose a job than overpromise and underdeliver.
